The 3M face shield holder allows face shields such as the 5 and WP series to be mounted on 3M safety helmets, including the G3000, G3501 and SecureFit X5000/X5500 series.
It has a quick-connect function with the face shield.
3M P3E holders are required to mount the holder directly on the helmet, except when 3M helmet-mounted ear muffs are used, which perform the same function.
