Their high level of thermal insulation comes from the air bubbles in the material. The Wellington boots stay flexible even at temperatures down to -30oC. They have a removable felt liner with aluminium in the insole area (weight: 400 g, thickness: 3.1 mm). For better visibility after dark, a reflective element is placed on the collar of the liner. The specially designed rear part of the boot makes it easier to take off. The footwear has a non-slip rubber sole that is slip-resistant (SRC), resistant to diesel oil (FO) and provides excellent cold insulation of the sole (CI).
